CFS Reps is an independent manufacturer's representative organization based in Kansas City, serving a seven-state region that includes Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. We proudly represent some of the top manufacturers in their respective fields, supported by our dedicated team of professionals who collectively possess over 125 years of experience in the contract furnishings industry. Our mission is to deliver exceptional service, knowledge, salesmanship, and integrity to both our customers and manufacturers, establishing a standard for manufacturers' representatives throughout the Midwest. CFS pushes to achieve all of this while ensuring we have fun along the way!

Success is about support! We have a team that works behind the scenes to help make your projects easy and seamless. The Sales and Operations Director helps the team be more responsive, have a clear communication flow both internally for our team and externally to our customers. We also have a Design Director who utilizes creative insights and attention to detail on furniture applications for each project. Lastly, we have a Marketing Director who handles the strategic and tactical marketing initiatives while staying on trend.

Our Team
Dan is a Kansas City native who grew up in a family of furniture. His dad, Rick, founded CFS in 1992. Dan considers himself a furniture nerd who loves the details about the products we represent and excels at helping customers utilize them to create high performing spaces that meet their needs. He has had many careers within the industry starting with Sit On It Seating, Highmark Seating and OFS to name a few. In 2015, Dan had the opportunity to join Rick at CFS Group to develop a succession plan which led to Dan becoming Principal in 2018.
Patty Urban has been with CFS Reps for 25 years covering the Iowa territory. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with an interior design degree and has worked in the commercial furniture industry for over 35 years in both interior design and sales positions.
Jen has 15 years of experience in the industry. She earned her design degree from Missouri State University and started her career as a designer in the St. Louis market before moving into sales. Jen covers the A+D community in the St. Louis market along with dealers throughout the state of Missouri.
Nathan covers the states of MN, SD and ND for CFS. He has been proudly part of the Minneapolis commercial furniture industry for over 20 years. Having started in residential interior design and then moving over to the dealer side of sales and NBD and thus ultimately ending up in the rep world, Nathan has worn many hats during his furniture tenure. His focus is on solutions, great customer service and always having a good time at it.
A Nebraska native, Aaron was born and raised in Lincoln. Through 24 years of experience in commercial furnishings, he has cultivated a deep understanding of design, functionality, and client needs. He is passionate about building long-term relationships that serve as his foundation for growth and success.
Nate is a Kansas City native and proud Rockhurst University alumnus who brings a fresh, outside perspective to the furniture industry. Driven, motivated, and relationship-focused, Nate is committed to building long-term partnerships through quick communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and consistent support. Clients rely on him as a dependable, accessible resource who works hard to make every interaction smooth, informed, and solutions oriented.
With over 10 years of experience in the design industry, Katie enhances the CFS Reps services as an Interior Designer. She will utilize creative insights and attention to detail on furniture applications for each project. She graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a degree in Interior Design, is a LEED Green Associate, and an IIDA member.
Kevin Mudge grew up in the Kansas City area around the furniture industry as a son to Rick, who started CFS Reps in 1992 and younger brother to Dan. Having joined from outside of the industry, Kevin brings a fresh perspective and a breadth of experience in sales, sales management and manufacturing operations, among other things. Utilizing that experience, Kevin will help the team be more responsive, have a clear communication flow both internally for our team and externally to our customers and most importantly grow our sales.
With over six years of experience in commercial interior design, Tyler brings a strong foundation in space planning, furniture layouts and specifications, and comprehensive design documentation. He approaches each project with a thoughtful balance of creativity and technical expertise, ensuring functional and well-designed spaces from concept through completion. Tyler earned his Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Iowa State University in 2018, where he developed the design principles and problem-solving skills that continue to guide his work today.
Blake has been in the furniture industry for over 10 years. She has experience on both the manufacturing and dealership side of the business in different marketing roles. She will handle the strategic and tactical marketing initiatives for CFS Reps. She likes to stay on trend while building the CFS Reps brand image.
